At 7:30 pm, Saturday May 24th, 2008, Winds of Change Boutique lights up Chagrin Falls for The H.E.L.P. Malawi Foundation with the help of Martha Rey, Fortune Denim, John Robert’s Spa and Lori Leavitt Jewelry. This fabulous “fashion with a purpose” runway event will benefit impoverished children in Malawi through the H.E.L.P. (Hope, Education, Love, Protection) Malawi Foundation.

A depressed economic situation has had a devastating impact on Malawi’s 13 million inhabitants. Unfortunately, the hardest hit are the 1 million orphaned children who are now struggling to “make it” with limited shelter, food and education. Many became familiar with Malawi when Madonna adopted her Malawian son from the country last year. But there is still an uphill battle for the children of Malawi. H.E.L.P. Malawi is a driving force in the fight, making the children’s aspirations a reality by building schools and providing much needed supplies.

Winds of Change will be debuting an exclusive spring/summer collection from a host of designers including Fortune Denim, Lori Leavitt, Lauren Moshi and Martha Rey among others. Catering will be provided by The Bertram Inn and will include an array of appetizers, champagne and other cocktails. A special segment of the show will include runway pieces inspired by H.E.L.P Malawi and will be auctioned off immediately following the show.

Fashionisa’s with a heart, come show your support by attending the show! Tickets are on sale now through May 24, 2008, with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting H.E.L.P. Malawi. Tickets include VIP seating, food and cocktails, plus private discounted shopping with a portion of sales donated to H.E.L.P. Malawi. Also, don’t forget to pick up raffle tickets for great prizes including, shopping sprees, clothing, spa giftcards and more.

Ok friends, autumn rolled in the other day. So did the merchandise at Winds of Change Boutique. I know that here, in Northeastern Ohio, summer is trying to hang on a bit. But it is fall now and soon you will need to button up a bit as the temperatures drop a few degrees.

Come on, we all love to shop for ourselves. After all we deserve it. Sometimes we need to pick up a little something for someone else. Someone special. A girlfriend or teacher. Our child’s bus driver or coach. Aren’t you lucky, because I am here to tell you that Winds of Change Boutique now has a gift store.

The upstairs has been remodeled and turned into a bit of a gift shop. You must come see it. It is enchanting and cozy at the same time. There are special, unique and whimsical gifts for all of your funky friends. OK, you can pick up a few things for yourself too…

For your professional friend, we have business card holders and cellphone cases with eclectic designs on them.

For your diva girlfriend, we have luggage tags, pill boxes and mirrored compacts all with sayings to reflect the mood.

For your gourmet girlfriends, we have wine stoppers, serving spoons, ice cream scoops and cake servers. All with jeweled crowns on them.

For your new age girlfriends, we have bath products and flora mist diffusers. For your traditional girlfriend, we have Honeydew Lingerie and Scanty Loungewear.

And many other cute things you might not find anywhere else. For instance there is a pink, jeweled tampon case. For the diva in all of us. If we have to carry the damn things, they might as well be fashionable…

Who needs an excuse to buy a cocktail dress!!! Is there a benefit?? Or a wedding?? How about a reverse raffle for the PTA crowd out there!! Maybe you don’t need an excuse. You could be just like me. Get it because you love it. You feel beautiful in it. Because you are!! There is your excuse.

Check out the selection of VOOM dresses…Tough decision…Tell me about it. These dresses are so special. So unique. Stand out and be noticed. Let the dress work it for you. How about a high school homecoming dance? Check out the BETSEY JOHNSON dresses. Or THE STYLE dresses.

These dresses didn’t exist when I was going to homecoming. We were at the mercy of Merry-Go-Round or Davey Jones Locker. I remember combing thru the racks at Winkleman’s, Petrie’s and Lerners. Take you back ladies??? Those days are OVER. Thank God!! Now fabulous fashion is right here.!!! Right now!!

Looking back, it was tragic what we had to wear to those events. Now there are dresses to flatter everyone. RIGHT HERE!! RIGHT NOW!! So stop reading my stuff and start looking. RIGHT HERE!!! RIGHT NOW!!

There is a little pink dot in the galaxy. It is called Winds of Change Boutique. It is located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Chagrin is a great little village about 20 or so miles east of the city of Cleveland. It boasts many quaint shops and restaurants.Winds of Change is a great store.  Angela Huang and David Walker travel the world in pursuit of fashion.  Beautiful, interesting, unique fashion. Angela is a fashion globetrotter, in fact I like to think of her as my personal fashion globetrotter. This is exactly how she makes you feel when you enter Winds of Change. They are ready to decorate your body with the greatest outfit you will wear today, tonight or whenever.  I should know, half…ok most of my closet is from Winds of Change Boutique.

Shopping at WOC is a unique fun experience. It not only changes your wardrobe, it changes your life. How do I know…well, I already told you about my overflowing closet. I stop in to shop, chat or just plain hangout. My husband calls it ‘The Clubhouse’. He gets nervous when he sees me walk in the house with a purple bag with the Winds of Change logo on the side, so I hide them until he is gone. I look fabulous though….or so I am told. Ok, so I am addicted. But being addicted to great fashion is ok …isn’t it? That is why you are here isn’t it? You love fashion, you love looking fabulous, feeling beautiful and you love pulling together a great outfit. This is why we meet here.

Hello WOC shoppers!

I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely ADORE Sienna Miller. She’s gorgeous, talented, and above all a style icon for just about everyone from fellow Hollywood starlets to highschool girls. In fact, ever since she broke free of just being Jude Law’s arm candy, Sienna has proven herself to be someone to watch for the latest trends. So when I saw a couple snapshots of the British beauty wearing one of our exclusive designer pieces, I knew it would be a hit. I mean not only is it a fun and totally unique piece to begin with, but the fact that Sienna’s in it and looking fab makes it a sure thing.

I also love the way she pairs it with just a simple pair of sheer black tights and round sunglasses; two of this season’s essentials that are definitely here to stay. The gold chain and hardware on the bag work perfectly with the earth tones of the dress as well. Sienna’s easy fall transition look is easily achieved with a few basic pieces that I’m sure all of you have in your own closets.

But don’t be afraid to experiment! This is only one of many killer looks that you can center around this knit babydoll dress. Keep the tights and throw on a tight black turtleneck with a pair of black, flat knee-boots for a look that just says you’re ready for a fashionable winter.
